Free blogs and websites

Free blogs and web hosts abound, and there is much debate about which ones are the best.  While this is not an endorsement of any site, here are a few that are commonly used.  Note that if you want to keep your domain name, you will still need to pay a minimal fee (usually $12.95) each year.
Google Blogger
Weebly
Wix
Yola
Wordpress.com
Wikispaces (use a wiki to spread the responsibility of editing.  For example, allow each committee chair to maintain a page on the wiki)

This Wikipedia chart is slightly out of date, but gives good guidelines to consider when looking at free websites and blogs.
